Before Hire/Booking

Anyone between the ages of 25-75 can drive our campers. Other important factors are a license held for a minimum of 2 years and less than six points (2x 3points). If you are in any doubt please get in touch and we can look into it for you.

No, mileage is unlimited while you are away.

Yes, and if you want to hire for an extended time we can help you with that too.

The price includes full UK and European insurance and breakdown cover.

The only additional costs include the requested use of a drive away awning, bike rack (tailgate models only)  sleeping bags and pillows.

Other than that our campers are fully kitted out with everything you will need while on your travels!

Yes, they are fully covered by Volkswagen assist using the AA.

A 25% booking fee is required to book your camper, remaining payment due 6 weeks before departure. 24 hours before collecting your van a security deposit of £1000 will be required. Bank transfer or PayPal required for all payments please.

YES we offer a 10% military discount to serving and retired personnel. You will need to send us proof of service. Email info@randrcampervans.co.uk

Van Specific Questions

2 ring gas hob, microwave, diesel heater, sink with cold water tap. Separate leisure battery to power lights and chargers while parked. USB charger, two 230v power sockets (3 pin, for use when van hook up connected), wireless phone charger, Power hook up cable to recharge at campsite.  Table for inside the van.

All our campers have diesel engines.

Yes, our vans do require add blue to keep the emissions clean. We will make sure this is filled before your trip so you shouldn't have to worry about it at all.

Most of our campers are manual transmission. We do have a DSG automatic option but please check its availability before booking.

We have bike racks so please just ask when booking and we can get that fitted for you if its not already (£50 additional fee).

We do, the gas is in a secure safety box at the rear of the van. We aim to make sure you have enough gas for the duration of your journey. If the gas does run out on your trip we will reimburse you on your return. Many campsites can supply refills or can recommend a nearby gas supplier. Our campers have sleeping for 2 people in the pop up roof (idealy kids or young adults) and 2 more adults down stairs in the double bed.

Depending on the particular van and including the driver, some will seat 4 passengers (single front seat) and some will seat 5 (double front seat)

Collection, Handover and Drop off

Yes, we have plenty of off road parking spaces available for customers to leave their cars. Please note: although site is always occupied and we will do our best with CCTV vehicles left at owners risk.

If you choose to leave your vehicle with us we will require your keys while you're away. We do request you only leave the vehicle key as we can't be responsible for any other keys such as house or property.

Collection and drop off days are Monday and Friday only. If other days are required please contact us before booking

We aim to have all the paperwork sorted before you arrive. That means it should take 30-45 mins to get you up to speed with all the vehicle functions. 

You will have a full tank when you collect your vehicle so you can head straight off. Please ensure the tank is refilled on your return.
